Privacy Notice - Camera Surveillance

This Privacy Notice describes how PostNord Group AB (“PostNord”, “we”, us”) collects and processes personal data in the context of camera surveillance at its main office Arken in Solna, Sweden.  

Your privacy and the security of your personal data are important to us. As data controller, we are responsible to ensure that we process your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.  

Personal data PostNord processes and why we process it 

Purpose. PostNord makes use of camera surveillance at its main office Arken. To ensure and manage workplace security and to protect our business, employees, visitors and property, we have placed cameras. We have placed cameras at entry and exit points, in server halls and in those parts of Arken where we have identified a need for heightened security.

Personal data. When entering, leaving and working from Arken, you may be recorded. The footage in which you are identifiable constitutes personal data. This footage may contain personal data relating to behaviour which may be considered a criminal offence.

Legal basis. We process your personal data for our legitimate interest to prevent, detect and investigate crimes and accidents. We only use personal data concerning criminal offences in case we need this footage to establish, exercise or defend legal claims in an individual case.

How we share your personal data 

We may share your personal data with other companies within the PostNord Group. Sometimes, we need to share your personal data outside the PostNord Group, such as:

  • Our service providers who are responsible for system maintenance. Service providers who help us in our daily operations, such as our suppliers for operating services and system support, may have access to your personal data. These service providers are data processors to PostNord and process personal data under a data processing agreement.  
  • Authorities, other public actors, and other recipients. Legal obligations may require us to share information about you, for example to respond to requests from law enforcement agencies, regulatory agencies, and other public and government authorities.
  • Parties involved in legal proceedings. In connection with a potential legal proceeding, including in the preparatory work enabling us to defend ourselves against or enforce any legal claims, your personal data may be shared with parties involved in the proceedings, such as lawyers.

Where we process your personal data 

When we process your personal data, it may be transferred within the European Economic Area (EEA). These transfers occur in accordance with applicable law.

How long we keep your personal data 

We store footage from our surveillance cameras for a maximum of 60 days. In case of an investigation or legal procedure, we may need to keep personal data for a longer period of time. We will delete personal data once the investigation and or subsequent legal procedure has come to an end, unless results thereof require us to keep the personal data for a longer period.

Your rights  

Under certain circumstances, you have rights in relation to your personal data, which include the following:

  • Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”). You can request that we delete personal data about you.
  • Right to rectification. You have the right to correct inaccurate or incomplete information about yourself.
  • Right to access your data. You have the right to know what personal data we process about you and why. That is why we inform you about our processing activities via this Privacy Notice. You can also request a copy of your personal data which we process.
  • Right to restriction. You can ask us to limit our processing of your personal data until inaccurate or incomplete information about you has been corrected, or until an objection from you has been handled.
  • Right to object. Where we process your personal data based on a legitimate interest, you have right to object to this processing when you believe that your personal interest outweighs ours. We will cease the processing, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests.
  • Right to data portability. In certain situations, you have the right to ask us to transfer the personal data we hold about you to someone else.
  • Right to withdraw your consent. You may at any time withdraw any consent you have given us. However, please note that withdrawing your consent will not affect any processing that has already taken place.
  • Right to complain. You have the right to lodge a complaint to our lead supervisory authority Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), or the supervisory authority in the country you live or work in.

Please note that legal rights or obligations may prevent us from disclosing or transfer all or part of your information, or from immediately deleting your information
