Management changes at PostNord

Mathias Krümmel is set to leave PostNord and thus his positions of CEO of PostNord Sweden and member of the Group Leadership Team. Ylva Ekborn, who is currently Head of PostNord Accelerate and Group CEO and President of PostNord Strålfors, will take over as acting CEO of PostNord Sweden. Ylva Ekborn has been a member of PostNord’s Group Leadership Team since 2018. Annemarie Gardshol, Group CEO and President of PostNord, will take on the role of acting Head of PostNord Accelerate. Lisbet Karlsson, who is currently Country Manager for PostNord Strålfors Sweden, will become acting Group CEO and President of PostNord Strålfors. The changes will come into force on December 6, 2023.

New postal law results in changes at PostNord Denmark

The universal postal service in Denmark will end on January 1, 2024. Exceptions apply to mail for small islands and visually impaired people, and international mail, for which procurement processes will be carried out. PostNord Denmark is negotiating a transitional agreement with the Danish state to ensure delivery of such items of mail until the procurement processes have been completed. The decision has no immediate impact on PostNord’s parcel operations in Denmark.

Deputy CEO and Head of PostNord Denmark Peter Kjær Jensen has decided to leave PostNord

PostNord today announces that Peter Kjær Jensen – Head of PostNord Denmark, Head of PostNord International, and Deputy CEO PostNord – has decided to leave the company. Peter will continue to support the company until March 31, 2024. Nikolaj Grundtvig Ahrenkiel, current CFO of PostNord Denmark, will step in as acting Head of PostNord Denmark and will join the Group Leadership Team as of October 1, 2023. Annemarie Gardshol, Group CEO and President of PostNord, will add on the responsibility for PostNord International. The process has started to search for a permanent replacement for Peter.

PostNord TPL acquires Babyshop’s automation

PostNord TPL is acquiring Babyshop’s automation facility in Stigamo, Jönköping Municipality. This strategic acquisition marks an important investment for TPL, which is thus strengthening its presence in the Jönköping area, a logistics hub in Sweden. In connection with the acquisition, PostNord TPL is also taking over the business and operation of Babyshop’s warehouse. The takeover will take place in summer 2023.

PostNord's CEO at the Swedish government's climate meeting

PostNord's CEO Annemarie Gardshol attended the Swedish government's national climate meeting last Friday. The meeting concluded the dialogue that the government conducted during the spring with various sectors, including the transport sector. Annemarie Gardshol represented PostNord at the roundtable with the transport sector earlier this year.
